A blowoff valve is a pressure release system present in turbocharged engines, its purpose is to prevent compressor surge and reduce wear on the engine. What's a BOV?
By putting a spring of different strengths and sizes into the wastegate.Cool. thanks. Question, How do you set the psi your running on a turbo?
I mean, I'm a diesel guy and all I know about turbo's are waste gates. I here all the time about boost being able to be set on some type sof vehicles but never investigated it. thanks

True, if your biks only function is to run down the quarter then ya don't need it. If you plan on also ridding it on the street at any point then the 100.00 bucks or so is worth it.Im new to turbos but I dont understand the need for a BOV on a drag bike. As I understand it, they release boost pressure when you roll off the throttle. Drag bikes shift very fast and @ at WOT so stalling the turbo isnt gonna happen.
