Wheel maintenance question

I've got stock black wheels on my 06 and I notice they have what looks like
a white oxidation on the black paint. I've tried just about everything I can think of
to get the oxide off and restore them to shiny black, but nothing seems to work.
Anybody else have this problem.? Any known cures.?

Mine did the same thing. Fixed it right up with a can of Krylon gloss black paint from autozone!

Well by golly, that's not a bad idea. I think I may even have some out in the paint locker.
I already did my handlebar ends and they look great.!!
