I just got my tires swapped out and went home to install my new sprockets and chain.....I picked up a chain tool at Cycle gear made by Stockton on sale for $29.99.

Well this tool is the biggest piece of Sh8t I have ever seen.......one of the pins broke while trying to push the link out of the new chain to get the correct length. I ended up just using a hammer and pry bar to get the link off afdter I cut it.

Then one of the pins broke as I was swedging the link.....I have been fighting with this stupid thing for an hour trying to make something work.

I am going to try and return it tomorrow but I still need to swedge out the link pins.....what tool seems to work best and where can I get it?

Did you grind down the rivet before you used the tool to push out the pin?

Yep, Motion Pro.
Great quality, and Pashnit sells them.

There is a new one out where it has the markings for what task you are performing on the tool. It is in a magazine of mine at work, but I cannot seem to find it on the net right now.
