Come on guys be open-minded. Give the man a chance. If he ain't right, then 4 years from now he can go back to where he came from.

That is what I would have done if McCain had won.

From here we can only go upwards.

I truly believe that Obama has enough integrity to not be controlled by the Pelosi's, Reid's, etc.

He is the man now so get behind him, and let's all push onward.

That sounds way to reasonable for this thread  Threads like these are for the typical sky is falling, armeggedon is here (yet again  ), negative glass half empty folks who always want to see the negative till they're 6 feet under. Common sense and rationale thinking have no place here  let the women folk wail and move on :thumbsup:

Wow, things did blow up overnight. It does not matter what happened, the election is over. Obama was not my choice because some of the ideas he wishes to bring forth scare me. However, he is the popular vote and I will respect him until he gives me reason to do otherwise. Obama looks to be more intelligent than Bush, I just hope to God he uses his intelligence in positive manner. For those the keep saying we are screwed, we already are! Look at the economy. Look at this country. That was one hang up I had with the incumbent party. How can you offer change without changing policies?

I am so glad that I am not the only person disappointed as heck with the results of this election!

Last night was a very sad day in American History. :( :( :(

I only hope that this man can step up to role he coveted and REALLY improve things for the better. As the saying goes; "I will believe it when I see it."

Michelle's soap box, and NO, you can't have your click back

Take the high road...let's all work together and try backing Obama in his efforts to better America. We may not all agree on how we'll get there, but trust me, hating the guy or whining about the way the elections went WILL NOT help anyone, will not make America stronger and will not accomplish anything right now...

It's time for everyone to work toward a common goal...it's a novel idea and worth a shot. In 4 years, those that truly feel things aren't better will have a shot at making that change by VOTING again...

AMERICA does NOT KNOW what it has DONE ! Just Wait a Few Years and You will know what I am Talking about. :please:

Boss, I read endless posts by you guaranteeing that Obama wouldn't win, posting videos about how he wouldn't win etc. It seems to be time that you get out of the prediction business.

Didn't read all the posts so if this is a repeat, my apologies. The fact is, we're in such dire times now that no matter who won, they would have inherited the same list of problems.

If people voted because of race, they are uninformed, careless and irresponsible voters. If people believe specific people are racist because of the way they voted, better have proof before you start pointing fingers. I voted for McCain but not because I don't like black people. I didn't like Obama's platform and frankly, Biden scares me worse than Obama anyway.

See my post here as well: https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/poli...lack-hispanic-vote-won-obama.html#post1756907

Regardless, in the next few months and years, we'll see. That's all I have to say. We'll see. If his promises come about, I'll be glad. He has no reason to not get this **** done now and there will be no excuses going forward. It will either get done or it won't.

I am with you on that.. Obama showed dedication and extreme resolve during his campaign. He demonstrated very clearly that he is an independent thinker that will not bend to influence. Just looking at his political style as well as his refusal to submit to gutter politics and mudslinging.

We'll see. I truly don't see a president that doesn't bow to those they owe, and they all owe a lot of peeps by time they reach the White House. I could be wrong.

Why exactly was it sad?

Democracy worked like it was suppoesed to. People got out and voted and if anything it shows that the working man and woman are sick of the divide between the have and have nots.

Many tried to make this about taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Taking "MY" money and giving it to those who do work hard enough. Nothing could be further from the truth.

When you have a situation where 5% of the population has 70+ % of all the wealth then you are going to have problems. If you think that situation occured simply because that 5% worked harder than the other 95% you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself why you are not a millionare. Are you not working hard enough?

Your not even old enough to remember when times were good. Bush has been in office half of your life.

True, but I do know that Obama is an anti-firearm advocate, and if he acts on what he's been saying, he's going to disarm the country just like EVERY OTHER DICTATOR. ;)

Mr. Pocketrocket hit the nail on the head ! Wake up folks , i for one want to see this change , we all know something better change with the quickness or we'll all be riding mopeds . I don't wanna ride a moped , the gas mileage would be an asset but the 200 mph. Is out of the ????? As for bosshound , there's nothing wrong with speaking your mind . Ain't that what makes us americans ? Were's the love ? We all have a common thread and that's what keeps us strong , might just come in handy in the future .

Truely is a VERY SAD DAY  I dont understand how "AMERICANS" can vote a man, a man that wont even put his hand over his heart in the pledge of allegiance, or wear an american flag pin to show respect to the country(up untill he found out it wasnt good for his campaign), for which many have paid the ultimate price for, to be PRESIDENT! :wtf: AND SOME PEOPLE HAVE THE NUTS TO COME ON HERE AND TELL ME TO STAND BEHIND HIM.......give him a chance.....show HIM respect? :moon: WILL NOT.......EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Can not wait for IMPEACHMENT TO HAPPEN! :please:

So now, me and the others that voted as I did are STUPID??

Well................. YES ! You and Others Who Voted the Same As You are Definently STUPID ! :smiley10:

Okay, I will take that from someone who is clearly upset and a little downtrodden right now.

I ain't that type of cat to resort to calling you names and shid.

Sorry, you feel the way you do. I know the truth so no big deal, bro.
