USB III will not light up FI light on

I purchased a used USB III off the bay and went to hook it up today and put the black wire on the battery negative and Hooked up also the two plugs hooked up but no green fuel light or nothing. Also I downloaded the software from dyno Jet and the USB can not be found and no serial # on the program any help would be great thanks

Yes if I unplug the PC it runs fine

Sounds like you got the wrong PC III or a bad one(that's what it sounds like). Is there a part # on it?

yep the part # is 312-410 and it plugs right in has two plugs and one black wire for ground on the battery it is a Power commander USB III. changed to multiple usb cables restarted PC 3 times. software say SN: N/A and device not communicating?
