Have my 08 since May. I mostly ride in the daylight but am curious if HID would make me more visible in the daytime.

A dumb question, but is the battery under the tank? I dont have the manual and want to hook up my electric vest. I would like to hook it up via a switched source if there is an option.

HID's are the best mod you could do for your Busa. Cagers already have a problem seeing all riders so HID's would be a good investment for you. The more visible you are the better chance you have. You battery is located under your seat , Find the 2 allen head screws located in the front of your seat & unscrew them & take off the seat to access it.

HID will make all the difference in the daytime as well, When I ride with a group and I look behind me, There is no dought who has the HIDs and who does not.

Thanks. I assume from all I have read that a 6000 low beam would be the best bet.

Is there an online tutorial for install?

HID highly recommended... As Ninja Killer informed, battery under rider seat.

HIDs are no doubt an improvement. The Gen II lighting is much improved. I have opted to stay stock with the lighting on my Gen II. Went with HIDs on the Gen I, had some issues with the low beam. I'm not alone. I've been reading with curiosity about numerous issues that affect the gauge cluster on the Gen II. For me I'm happy enough with what the factory gave us this time around, so I'm skipping the chance of having any problems.

Do the search, many have had issues and reported.

Forgot to say, that I like to use the pass switch between the left grip and clutch if I think someone's about to be stupid
