turbo question help plz

am looking to buy this turbo kit complete from a guy who said he did 100 passes how would i tell if a turbo is any good what to look for??please any help thanks you...

is it still on his bike or already been removed? What turbo?

Take the air filter off and make sure that the wheel spins freely. Make sure that the shaft doesnt have alot of play in it.

To check for play in the turbo shaft, just grab the center section and pull/push in and out. Any play is bad in those directions. If it moves a little left to right that is okay( I mean just a little bit) other than that they are pretty resilient peices of hardware. You can just look at it to make sure there isn't any physical damage to the inducer blades from running it at the track w/o a filter and suckin something up.

I was just rethinking. You should also check for cracks in the exhaust manifold. If the bike was just used for track passes. That would be a lot of heat cycles of red hot to cold.
