Turbo oil pressure regulator

Does anyone use a oil pressure regulator for the turbo or is it not necessary.

Not that I'm aware of but I know some run a restrictor in the. All bearing turbos. What turbo do you have?

I have a tdo5-16g

Sorry no definite answer but I would assume you wouldn't need one. I've heard mixed result but maybe check what the manufacturer recommends.

If your drain is sufficient then no restrictor for a journal bearing turbo. I have seen some JB PTE turbos need one but typically not.

I have that same turbo. No oil pressure regulator.
