Tuning.... ecu editor vs flash tune?

Is one comparable in the sense that if I had a solid tuner close to me, who uses flash tune, is it wise to have the editor pulled and have flash tune used? My tune needs cleaned up.

ecu editor reflashes the stock ecu. it is a flash tune. They can edit your tune to clean it up.
