You didn't use one of the old style gap tools did you? Thr round one's that go on your key ring and back in the day we used to bend the tab when we would adjust the gap. With iridium plugs you don't wanna pry against the electrode like u could with the old copper plugs.
Yeah that's the only kind I know, I've been in a Powerstroke for years so this is the first time I've touched a spark plug in 10 years but they were all very close it didnt take anything at all to 'adjust' it. I was worried about that tiny electrode when I saw it so was very careful with it but I dont know any other way to gap a plug.

Iridium plugs call for wire type gauge, think it was posted from the manual already but prying against the tiny electrode it's possible to damage it and cause issues.

when i was asked for plugs life i give three (four) general answers :

1. forgett the maintenance shedule in the suzuki manual - the max milage mentioned there is given far too short - the milage there is only to be complied with during the guarantee period (in germany the very first two years) - after that, common sense or the experience of good mechanics should apply (btw, exactly the same with oil ;-) )
2. the standard plugs can last at least up to 15,000 - 20,000 km
3. the iridiums can last up to 30,000 - 40,000 km

(and 4th - generally said - replace plugs, as 1st step, when ever the motor no more starts as usual)
