The movie      jarhead

havent seen the movie yet, but I do remember an incedent of two marines shooting a camel with an AT4. Supposedly it was romaing in and out of a field of fire and they thought is was an enemy. Sounds more like " I bet you cant hit that camel" and some boredom involved.

Marines dont have the best rep for kindness and self control, but if it needs to be done we will do it. Why do you think the ground war only lasted 3 days??

Realistic if you realize that the movie is protrayed thru a schumck marine's eyes. The same circumstances would have been protrayed much differently for a super marine. Point of view.

Not to offened any of our people in the armed services...I may have never served "active" duty, but I do and have supported local groups and VFW functions for many years.

HOWEVER....Seeing as I followed many paths of the SeaBees, I just have to smile everytime I see this.
