The issues of the world......

Did they? Sounds like a ukrainian op to me, they are getting desperate. Perhaps they used isis operatives but if that's the case I would have expected them to have committed suicide rather than been caught alive, as they were... If it wasn't them it wouldn't take much to persuade them to take the credit. A couple of hundred grands worth of US arms would do it. A lot of those are have been sold on the black market by the corrupt ukrainian military regime. The US media, the western media in general, is totally corrupt. When they quickly affirm one thing I assume the opposite. Russia is still investigating, probably torturing the captives. The Western press does no investigation, it just prints what it's told to print.
ISIS much like other Islamic extremist ideology is impossible to eliminate much like any Christian ideology....once that is engrained into a person, it controls them.

Hamas, Taliban, Hezbollah, Houthis, El Shebab are all the same in this regard.......and you'd have to eliminate them down to the last follower in order to eradicate this ideology....

Was this a Ukrainian OP...?? I doubt it, ISIS has been known to interject when they feel they can do the most damage...

They are causing issues in Afghanistan ironically.......the Taliban are being targeted by their fighters.....and the deaths and injuries to US troops during the hasty withdrawal were caused by ISIS fighters....

And within that media, it's not as much about actual journalism, it's about an agenda.
....and towing the line of their party these days.....

Our media is subsidized by our government...the incoming prime minster has already indicated he will be cutting that subsidy so they can start reporting news as it should be and not be toting the party line.......they aren't happy to be cut off the mother's milk....

Who owns the media comes into play as well. I mean who really owns what. 30 years ago a naturopath pointed out to me that the readers digest was owned by the Big Pharma. What a surprise. Then you read one and there are 2 or 3 stories about how Dr Darling saves a little child with some breakthrough drug or procedure, and one story about an "alternate" medicine. That story isn't overtly negative but doubts are cast, "there is no conclusive evidence that..." They used to do that with Vitamins in their stories, then they just bought up all the big vitamin manufacturers.

That’s crazy, I did not know that.

One of the big issues we have here is the media and how they can affect an election......main stream media has gotten to the point where is it is weaponized....

For instance here in Canada, our large media corporations are government funded and the Conservative government has indicated they will cease this funding forcing media corporations to be privately funded and thus report news in a much less biased way.....

The issue with this is...........the media is now targeting the conservatives and starting to do to them what the media did to Trump........there are many people who hang on each and every word they see reported on TV.....this will hurt the conservatives and could possibly lead to a liberal victory in the next election which would destroy what is left of Canada....

As soon as I saw the conservative party leader (Pierre Poilievre) starting to go against media, I mentioned this to the wife and said if I were him, I'd keep my mouth shut until after the election and then announce the cutting of public tax payer support to media corporations.....

He also is taking a stance in the Hamas/Israeli war and in doing so has attracted the attention of Muslims in Canada (and there are a lot of them here).

That was a tragedy that girl getting shot but it's not a one off. years back an Australian girl in new york called the police about some heinous criminal and when the police arrived she ran, in her nightdress, toward them for safety. Bank Bang Bang! The girl in this story would have better advised to get away from the car and lie flat, but she had the misconception that the police are there to protect us. That is not their primary job, their job is to prevent and clean up after crime and the gun is clearly the tool of choice. And besides, she was running across their field of fire so to speak, not smart. I can understand her actions and empathize but it doesn't change the fact that she got shot to hell and gone.

Police Scotland hit with almost 4,000 complaints in first two days of new hate crime laws

This is a classic!

The Hate Crime and Public Order Laws(Scotland) creates a new crime relating to age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, transgender identity or being intersex. The maximum penalty is a jail sentence of seven years.

"Public order" You can bet that will be used against protestors in the future.

Who instigated this madness? First Minister Humza Yousaf. Yes, they voted in a middle eastern type. (oops, I think I just committed an crime under Scottish law?) He advocated and brought in the laws to protect his minority islamic mates. The public are outraged by the new laws but if they were smart they would cook up and report complaints about every single trans or immigrant in the country, flood the police with the reports and overwhelm the system. But they won't. Why did they vote for him? His constituents are probably from a Scottish ghetto full of immigrant families.

Muslims constitute 1.45% of the population in Scotland

LONDON: Scotland’s First Minister Humza Yousaf ( Born to Pakistani immigrants in Glasgow ) was targeted with Islamophobic graffiti near his home on the same day the country’s new hate crime law was enacted, The Times reported. Racist remarks referencing Yousaf’s Pakistani heritage appeared on walls and fences near his house in Dundee, where he lives with his family, on Tuesday.

The vandalism was quickly removed and Police Scotland said it had launched an investigation into the incident.
Yousaf, who made history last year as the Scottish government’s first ethnic minority and Muslim leader, shared on social media: “I do my best to shield my children from the racism and Islamophobia I face on a regular basis. That becomes increasingly difficult when racist graffiti targeting me appears near our family home.

She did NOT have any misconception as to what the police were there for or what their primary job is. She was shot and killed by the police who (apparently) didn’t know what the hell they were doing.

I've noticed a lot of 30 somethings still living with their parents in my neighborhood........and after speaking to many of their parents I've found out they don't do anything to help out around the house for the most part....I've never seen any of them shovel, cut grass or take the stuff to the road for pickup on garbage/recycle days....

But they do all have fancy vehicles-generally upscale ones like BMWs or the like....

While out for a walk this morning, I happened across a neighbor who lives at the other end of my subdivision and his son has a Genesis coupe which is lowered with fancy rims and lots of farkles........I noted the car hasn't moved in a little bit and when I posed as to why, he told me the boy was stopped for street racing and it was impounded for 3 weeks and now he has to go to court to get his license back.....as he works for a local delivery company, he can't work so he has been laying around the house like a bump on a log driving him nuts.....

Once he goes to court, that information is sent to his insurance company so he was interested to see what happens then....I told him I knew others who went through this and their insurance company would no longer insure the kid but would leave their rates alone. I guess the kid has been basically spending his pay cheques on his car with a whole bunch of after market stuff.....

So in this case, the issue isn't with the kid, it's with the parents who have allowed this situation to develop into what it has........

If it were me, I would have made the kid pay room and board along with the difference in insurance his addition would cause....I would then have put all that in a separate bank account and when the kid was ready to move out, give it back to him. This kid had no bills so he had all this liquid income to play with.

Apparently, as almost always, it was a few terrible people misrepresenting the Arab community in Dearborn.

Fox forgot to mention that part
A few terrible people who are publicly burning the US flag and chanting "death to America" on American soil no less.....

How many are a few and how many are too many is the question......

If these people are able to go out in public and do such a thing, how many are at their homes thinking it?

Try going into Iran and burning their flag chanting "death to Iran" and just see how long you last.....

This public display shows just how weak the US has become and your enemies are smiling....

A few?

What I have seen in a number of instances, including this one do not represent a "few". They represent more than "several".

Sadly, your "few" and my plural "severals" are taking advantage of being privileged, living in a free democratic society.

There are no other countries in the world, where this will be tolerated. Burning your own country's flag? These people should be exported to their countries of origin, so they no longer spoil the landscape for patriotic Americans.

Load up the person with the Hezbollah flag, fly him to Lebanon, and drop him off to enjoy a new life.

Yes a few in comparison to the Arab population of Dearborn and the state of Michigan. No mention from Fox about how Arab leaders and citizens denounced the flag burning and chanting. It's biased reporting like this from Fox that leads to even more hate crimes against Arab Americans that had no part in the abhorrent behavior.
