That's cool, wondered what ever happened to her. Last we seen it wasn't long after the off, and the rash wounds were still pretty fresh. Looks like she has dealt with it and moved along quite admirably.
I am glad she healed up and is doing fine and I admire her for being so proactive with getting her message out there.
But there is still people who ride without the proper gear and with the mentality, "That will never happen to me". AGATT!!!
Its there for a reason!!
"Road rash" should really be called what it is "Very large, very painful, very open and susceptable to infection, wounds that often need to be fixed with skin grafts.
Yeah thats a remarkable story Hopefully people will see and learn, it was really good to see her back on a bike after that. Most wouldnt even look at a bike again
Imagine the one guy who stands up in the class and says "Well, we don't need all the protection if we're just going on a short ride..." and then she says "Don't you now?" -peels back of shirt up-
A friend of mine is who painted her bike in the video. Its a nice bike. He also panted my wife's helmet with that scheme as the basis. She's a cool chick.
i crashed my bycycle as a kid in roanoke VA on a very steep hill, hit a partially open manhole, the rest well was spent sliding down the hill, and a trip to the hospital, i dont want to ever experience rash like that again, glad she is getting the messege out about gear
