Striped Oil Pan

Well I did it , changed the oil and over tightened the plug , got a very slow leak , 8 or 10 drops in a week. Still want to fix it, done the search , seems new pan is best and surest fix. Anyone know what a new pan costs?

I had to change mine a couple of months ago when I noticed a small leak. Turn out to be one of the Allen head bolts to the oil cooler line on the pan as stripped and would not tighten completely. I replaced with a used one from pan Ebay. It was a P. I. T. A but ended the problem.

Well, I was lucky. Seems I did not strip the threads , it was the crush washer. I was one of those guys who did not change it . Save yourself a bunch of trouble , change it and use a torque wrench,it would have saved me a tear down. Waiting for a new pan gasket now
