Stock Exhaust Question

Question about the grey part of the stock exhaust system that joins the headers to the mufflers. (The part that the O2 sensor threads into). Does this part contain any working parts, or is it just a hollow shell? Also is it made of steel or aluminum? Can the bike be supported from underneath it? Thanks.

It does not have any working parts. I am not sure what it is made of but I imagine it cannot support the weight of the bike.

o2 sensor? you have a gen 2?
Gen 1's dont have them, well maybe in California they do...not sure
I wouldnt put anything under there and expect it to hold

I think those are the cats, if I understand you correctly. Don't put any weight on them.
