I hope this hasn’t already been discussed (RSD has me gun shy now)

I actually like the way the stock cans look. I would just like a little louder or meaner sound.

And also I don’t want to fork out any money at the moment for an exhaust system.

Is there any modifications I can make to the stock pipes to make them sound louder / deeper / meaner?

I tried taking out the bolts on the end, but they seem to be welded on.

I thought I had heard someone mention about drilling out the baffles or something.

Anyone have any ideas?

And also, I thought I remembered someone making a post about polishing the stock cans. Something about using sand paper to smooth out the cans. Anyone know how to do this? Type of sand paper? Any pictures?

Or if someone can provide me links to the above mentioned issues, that would be awesome.

Thanks.

Never mind. I found referances to both mods

Polishing the stock cans and modifying the cans to sound better and get more HP

Now time to go to work.. lots...and lots... and lots... of work

Here is a link to a muffler mod done and posted by Bike382

Here is a cool web side that has a complete step by step on polishing the cans

http://www.wardsweb.org/busa/index_busa.html

Just go to polishing, then select stock cans..

Looks like I will be busy for the next few weeks
