Hi I have an 02 with Yoshi full pipe, dual intake cams, base gasket removed thinned head gasket (don't remember how much right now) par removed, large air box mod,BMC filter, tre. Did these things myself and it helped a lot. I built my own tuning box and have been wanting to start tuning for a while. I would remove my tre first (fix that in ecu) than speed limiter raise the rpm limiter to around 11500 than I'm guessing richen it up a few clicks but any ideas how much and what range for a starting point? Just leave the timing alone?I'm sure lots of you have guesstimates and most of you will say bring it in and have it done but I really enjoy playing with this kind of thing on my own. then maybe I might bring it in to see how close I can get. Thanks in advance

If you want 2 try and do it yourself without the aid of a dyno you will need a O2/wideband with data logging capabilities. Make adjustments and log a run then repeat as necessary until you have the air fuel ratio dialed in to your liking.

Daytona Wego III

Zeitronix ZT-2

Innovate LM2

Are just a few widebands with such capabilities

Thanks I thought about the wideband and know thats probably the way to go but was hoping for a possible setup without one. It would then be more like old school with carbs and egt gauges. Kind of like me. Would still like to get some starting point or a possible map. Thanks

You can be as cheap as you want but without something to tell what the motor wants(even you said EGT with carbs) you are a fool.
Get a wide band data logger.
