starter went bad- where to get one?

One starter went out here in Northern California,and was covered on warranty,the guy had a week left before warranty would have run out,it was 1999 Hayabusa out of SeaSide,Cal near Laguna Seca.

The starter has seem to have gone out on my bike. has anyone else had this problem? where is someone who has them in stock/price?

Are you sure it's the starter itself?

More likely would be the starter gears in between the starter and the crank, or even the gear teeth on the crank end may be the real problem.

I've seen reports of ruined intermediate gears even on stock Busa's (like Germany's Motorrad mag long-term Busa) but also reports of the teeth on the crank ruined on hopped-up Busa's, presumably from kickback during starting of high-comp tuned engines?

Here's hoping for you that it is the starter, but seeing your "name" and other recent topic from you ... ???
