Film making technology has advanced just a little since 1965. Like the first Batman show/movie vs the Dark night latest Batman. The invention of the computer and HD changes things. (just a little bit)

No No, I'm certain it will be more of the softheaded ultra liberal bent on Star Trek...

There won't be any hero's, all the hero's will suffer from self doubt, Image problems, and massive ego issues... There won't be any fighting cause it's bad, and the women will all be slightly pudgy, to avoid negative body image issues...

Sigh, the Enterprise as viewed is darker and more industrial to reflect mans inability to actually create anything perfect.

Follow up: What a horrible movie. It could have been somehting great but way too many plotholes and repeated action drivel.

You are a cadet who can't pass his exam. 15 minutes later: Now you are the first mate on the latest/greatest Star Fleet ship. 30 minutes later: You are now Captain by default.

One of many! And it broke the back of so many established Star Trek facts that have been in place over 30 years.

Kinda hard to respond to this without a spoiler. But not horrible. I expected better though. There were a couple of really good castings.
