Sprocket Change Issue

End of season last year my chain broke so I just put it up for the season. Got a new chain and sprockets for this year to put on. Changed the small sprocket and book calls for 107 ft-lb on the sprocket nut....went to torque it and that shaft still spun making a winding noise. So I hooked the chain up to wheel and sat it down from stand and tried to tighten the bike wanted to roll. When I removed that nut it was loose. Do I have an internal problem here???

Thanks

Yes, when I lowered it down from stand and tried to torque the nut the bike wanted to creep backwards from force of me trying to turn that sprocket nut

Put a 2x4 between the wheel spoke and the swingarm to lock it. Not my preferred method but it will get 'er done.

Got my wife to come out today and hold brake. That worked....just got wait for the speed rotor to come in, that was cracked

You can always sit on it and the hold rear brake, and reach over and grab torque wrench.
One person can do it.
The bike should be in neutral too.
