Speed Shifting!

I let the rev limiter do the blipping for me.

this does work

After years of racing dirtbikes, I only used the clutch for taking off. And we started in 2nd gear! After some practice, anyone can shift without using the clutch. You just have to time it. I can even shift in my car without the clutch.

I agree on clutching 1st to 2nd. It's not a smooth change for me, and I really don't want that kind of abrupt power going to the rear tire with the cold rainy temps here in NY. But 2nd on up is very smooth. What really sucks is not knowing you're in 6th gear, and trying for 7th.. lol. My boots have a soft leather toe area and when that shift leaver doesn't move I can feel it. Oww.

I guess I'm lazy because I shift clutchless up and down most of the time. No problems yet..
If done properly, you shouldn't have any issues. But, it is much easier to mess up without the clutch and cause some damage. With the wrong technique, a little unnoticable damage with each shift become a $2000 repair bill after a few thousand miles.
