After looking around for awhile I finally chose the D&Ds, why, because I like the way they look and the way they sound. These type of exhausts are for looks and sound, thats it. If youre looking for performance gains go another route, and spend considerably more. I paid $425 delivered new, the 4-1 pipe and PC are gonna run you around double for a cheaper brand, never mind installation costs/tools/headaches.

And now for the much talked about annoying D&D sound issue. In my opinion I think they sound great, some people on these boards will go out of their way to tell you how terrible they sound. I think these people suffer more from the "mine is better than yours", or "mines great, yours sucks" syndrome than anything else. Frankly I listened to enough of this #### years ago when I rode another brand of bike.

The only knock against the D&D's aside from that theyre from Texas I can think of is how they hold up over the years, I don't think the fit and finish is as high quality as the other more expensive manufacturers, but then again were talking Suzukis here, thats a whole nuther conversation in itself.

If youre genuinely concerned about waking the neighbors or offending anyone, go with the stock cans. These things scream only when you lean on em.

Just wanted to add one more note to this topic, the other day my '05 with the D&D slipons was next to another Busa an '04 with the Yoshi slipons, honestly I was quite suprised how close they were volume wise. Also, my Triumph Speed triple with a 3-1 Triumph aftermarket can is twice as loud as the Busa with the D&D's, no BS.

Yoshis. My buddy has the full exhaust rs3 setup and it sounds soooooo gooooood. I think he said this throttle hits a little harder too.

I've had the D&D on for a couple of weeks and they are not as obnoxious as I thought (I'm glad) and I can still hear the tunes I pipe into my helmet.

I am trying to make the same decision I am leaning toward D&D That is what was on my 600 and my 600 was obnoxious but I am hoping you are all right about the bigger motor and it being more like a V-8 I love that deep rumbling sound. biggrin.gif By the way, anyone heard anything about those Viper exhausts that are on Ebay right now? Would love to learn more about them.

Yosh, HMF, D&D. IMHO do yourself a favor and save the few Extra $$$ it'll cost you to go with a full system. From what i've read and seen they are all pretty close. find what you like the sound and look of and go with it. I chose HMF duel high rise because i like the sound, look, the the guy that has the local Dyno said he has seen the best gain with those. But that most of the good pipe builders are fairly close.

Yes... HOWEVER you will also need (to do the full system justice) a Jet Kit, PC3 +map, Airbox Mod, and a new flux capacitor.

True Cykill... I meant as far as the full system goes, it is for more power. To maximize on it you SHOULD follow through and do all the rest OR just get the Bolt-on's that please your sight and sounds wise.
