Alot of women are attracted to guys who ride bikes...for whatever their reason might be...I have had several women at work ask for a ride and I always tell them.."my wife got one look at you and I'm dead"...The unfortunate thing for many women is they don't really appreciate/comprehend the dangerous nature of bikes. They really don't know if the guy they are risking life/limb over has any real skills in handling a bike.
We've had two married couples in the last 6 months in Vacaville, Ca run corners to hot or wide and slam into parked cars..in freaking neighborhoods..killing both husband and wives. Harleys in full dress mode just can't corner worth a darn. Look at how low their profile is to the ground. They pretty much ride on a car tire for heaven's sake. Put a HD rider on a twisty rode, giggling girl on the back, and you can start showing off a little bit and then you dig a peg in..or drag/slide your mufflers...total lunacy...poor poor creature on the back of this guy's bike..She paid full hide for that ride..No need for this type of accident to happen..just plain ridding over his skill level

Dude, Harleys are totally safe, they have hundreds of millions of miles logged on their motorcycles over the years.

it is not the bike, it's the rider.. a rider going beyond his experience level on any bike is the real issue!

I ride with a large group of riders, many of whom have almost 100K miles on thier bikes with no issues at all. From Harley's to gold wings to metric cruiers to triumphs and more.

a moped to a rocket-cycle, anything can be dangerous if not treated properly!

Honestly it scares me to see folks ride like that (no gear)? It just baffles me sometimes what they (dont) wear?! The gear of choice with alot of riders here in Charleston, SC is cargo shorts, t-shirts, flip flops and a hat turned backwards, no joke! Each time i see one I say a small prayer in my head for them!! But we do have something in common, we both look at each other and say "why in the hell do they have that on"?!!! Be safe Fam!!

You guys didn't know the bottom of the undercarriage is part of the Harley braking system? One day you'll understand the complexities of the brand.

Im not"laughing" at what happened. It is a serious situation, thankfully they were not seriously injured. What I "laugh" at is the arrogance and stupidity of some riders that "think" they know what they are doing and the lack of intelligence used in selecting the proper riding gear. No matter what your riding or driving YOU need to know the limits of your abilities and the limits of YOUR vehicle. Just remember stupid HURTS.

How was this the bikes fault? Looked to be rider error to me.

I don't see anything funny about seeing a fellow biker wreck all. I think it's in bad taste.

Seeing the slow mo or frame by frame is interesting though, it allows you to see directly where and how things went wrong. I'd much rather look at the pics and learn than sit and laugh at others misfortune, maybe it will help me not make the same mistake.

Its definitely rider's error and their stupidity for not wearing proper gear. Rest assured that its nothing funny about seeing anyone wreck at all. :poke:

Its the irony of crash bars on the HD that amuses me to my wits end. Crash bars plays part in causing the crash, that is. The crash wouldn't be the case if the rider doesn't have the crash bars installed on his HD. From the pictures, the crash bars hinders the ability to lean the bike lot further. IMHO without the crash bars, the rider will only scuff his chrome pegs and parts from the lean itself.

Scuff parts from the lean is far better than keeping chrome intact and crash.

By the looks of his grips, they must have been riding over to the Tennessee Cheerleading Division Championships.

Those are some cute Pom-Poms he has there.

and I know I would never want to mess with that guy, geez his arms must be ripped from all the pull-ups he does on those ape-hangers.

to those making light, or making fun of this.

I see any motorcycle accident as a horrible thing.

During this spring/summer in the DFW area, there have been a series of fatal motorcycles accidents, almost all have been sportbike riders, most very young guys. I just hope this never happens to you or anyone you give a chit about.

yes I know nobody died on this one, it's just not a laughing matter
