screwed up big time

I installed my rear faring section today. I put the rear seat back on, then realized I did not re-attach the lock mechanism cable. Now I'm @#$&%@!!!. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to fix this little dilema of mine???

The only solution which comes to mind is to cut off the two plastic handles which hold the bubble in place.

Do not do anything yet. You can get it off without damaging anything.

I'll say it again, why does people insist on taking the dang cable off? Take the 2 screws out of the lock body!

I put a piece of tape over the latch before removing the cable and it stays there until the cable is reattached.

Ok fixed the problem without cutting or drilling anything. I took a flat head screw driver and pried out the two white under hooks from the hump. It gave me enough fenaggling room to unscrew what needed unscrewed to get to the dang latch!! Thanks for the good input anyway guys.
