I did the same thing! Road for years and years then in mid-80's I had a serious close- call, which scared the s### out of me and sold all my bikes. After a couple of years I began to get the bug to buy another one, but I'd talk myself out of it. Finally a friend tried to talk me into going in on a couple of Goldwings. No way I'd ever buy a GW, but it did prompt me into buying an '05 FJR1300, then a month later I bought my wife a '05 Z750S, then 3 months later bought a '05 Busa! I guess I'm back into again, eh?!

I used to have a fleet of blue vehicles, 99 Sierra, 99 Durango, 77 FJ40 (slow, but point and go over anything). Wife broke mold with trading Durango for an 05 gunmetal grey Mazda 6. Had to try to match that!!

I am re-learning how to walk by taking baby steps. Also taking MSF course in two weeks. Part of why I wasn't rushing to buy. I knew it couldn't just sit in garage!

I also had a real close call before selling in 85. Mazda rx-7 within 6 inches of back tire, then left peg sideways at ~ 115mph. He was drunk and didn't slow down fast enough. Wrecked his car pretty good, I just wrecked my shorts. And damn near his head with my helmet. Had to be restrained from him by my buddies. Sold bike 2 hours later. Had no respect for it and was I started growing tentacles anyway. Things happen for a reason...
