Running a 1000 front end?

Just how much weight would u save going to a 1000 front end. And wouldnt the front end of the bike be where you want the weight. Im just confused to why people do this.
 
I think the idea is that the gsxr1000's forks are more "sporty" tuned, and some may consider the new radial mounted calipers to be superior to the busa's. I have no idea how true such things are though.
 
Seems like a big hassle to me. Wouldn't it be easier to just upgrade the forks and brakes on the bus?
 
Hassle?  Seem easier to me.  Disassemble the front fairing, unbolt the triple and take off the brake line(s).  Bolt new triple up and re-connect new brake lines.  Put fairing back on.  Sounds very simple to me, assuming the triple clamps bolt up the same.

I would play with the settings or find someone that knows what there doing and have them set it up just right for your riding style.

You can get these bad boys. Ohlins are to be de' best you can get. But there not cheap
