Run in with a Trooper

So I am out cruising a bit.......over the posted limit....when I pass this State Trooper in the shade of an overpass.

No speedo healer....so I figure that its no big deal. I am just a few over the limit.

He lights me up. I twist my wrist.

10 miles and 5 troopers later I can tell he means to have a word with me, so I pull over

"Why did you run?" he ask with that common side of the road swagger most troopers have.

"Well", I stated, "4 years ago my wife ran off with a state trooper. I thought you were trying to give her back!"
