Robber fatally shot in Miami Burger King holdup

Dead men tell no lies. I am not happy that someone had to die but I am happy that a person was there to help out in a time of need and made the right choice

He got what he deserved!

in most scenarios I would agree with you but given the economic struggles of alot of ppl today... who really cares if he robbed a Burger king, atleast he wasnt out jacking some woman for a pocket book. I know personally as a father of 5,if I lost my job etc,I would do whatever nesacerry to provide for them as would most fathers I know, hitting up a bank or fast food joint wouldnt be out of the question, Im just saying. and Im definately not condoning what he did and dont know his personal situation and its unfortunate but most likely the guy who killed him will be charged with something since the article reads (I believe) he "showed" a gun, didnt say he pointed it at anyone? technichalitys are what makes the law suck most of the time just like yrs ago when Sam Getz was riding the subway in NYC and killed them guys with a screwdriver because they were mugging a woman.Him,I think deserves a metel,I forget what kind of jail time he got.

just lucky non of the school kids in there got shot because someone wanted to be a cowboy!!

The dude saved burger king a couple of bucks and got himself shot. Ya he's a real hero.

??? Hard times is no reason for lawlessness, he could afford a gun and bullets. He was a criminal commiting a felony....he got what he deserved. If the patron had not stepped up who knows what else the guy would have done. Hind sight is crystal.

I wonder if the satisfaction of killing someone who stood to gain $200 in a robbery attempt is worth the lost wages, medical bills, loss of time with family, and pain and suffering incurred by selecting this option?

Personally, my life is worth more than $200.

Hind sight is crystal.

isnt though:poke:

I guess it would have really been bad if he ran away with $200 and no one was injured.

whats the felony? showing a gun? all you guys do that with your permits to carry, thats not a felony,it didnt say he pointed it anyone until the cowboy drew his weapon

We will never know - we will never know how many other lives this guy saved by putting this robber down NOW, rather than if he had gotten away with it, and continued to rob using a gun, because eventually he would have used it. I'm glad this CITIZEN used his 2nd amendment rights to protect our society, in most cases Law Enforcement can only show up after the damage is done. Just wish the CITIZEN hadn't wasted time argueing with the guy and just dropped him....

Thank you Rodney... I had somewhat harsher comments stored up for bleeding hearts society of armed robbers...

2 things:

1) What if he didn't just stop at robbing the place. What if he decided to kill all witnesses or decided it was a good time to rape a few innocent customers;

2) This was the best comment I saw left by someone on that page:

What a tradgedy! A case of mistaken identity! He wasn't a robber - just an Obama "Wealth Redistribution Specialist!" How sad.

Now that's funny

Breaking news:
An armed robbery occured in a Burger King on BIscayne downtown, while the man was robbing the store a good samaritain who at the time was CCW asked the guy to lower his weapon. He turned and fired at the CCW guy, injuring him. He fired back killing the theif and is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.

Good for the armed citizen! That ****bag deserved to be dead. And any of you who think that lawlessness is excused in hard times, stay in your little fantasy corner of the world, because you just could be the next ****bag who gets his!
