Back on topic, nothing would honor Bandit more than considering adopting a kitty from your local shelter when you and your family are ready Bots.
I'm a huge fan of mending the holes left when we lose a pet with kitties (can you tell?) and while nothing replaces the ones we loved, it does help ease the pain. I have so many because I was filling the void left by 2 Great Danes...yeah, that's it
I think I still have a pic of Bandit from months ago that you'd sent, when we were trying to see who had the fattest cat

Bots, I know what you mean by a love hate relationship, hate the fur everywhere, like being greeted by them when I get home.
Both of the cats we have now were pound kittens. A few years ago my wife talked me into going "just to look" and I ended up picking out the oldest of the 2 cats we currently have. A year later she wanted to go '"just look" again and then the second one followed us home home.
I have to admit watching both of them play can be quite entertaining!
