Riding with low coolant

My coolant is at the lower level line on my bike currently and I just bought the bike used and don't know what was used previously, I have some stuff coming in for the bike in about a week and that is when i was planning on changing the coolant, will it be fine to ride the bike with the coolant sitting right at the low level line?

there isnt a problem running it at the lower level..if you would like, you could add some bottled water to it to bring it to the full line for the piece of mind..

As long as it's between min and max lines when cold then you're good.

The lower line you're referring to is in the "overflow" bottle ... it's fine as long as it's not below the lower line. As the coolant heats up it expands and you'll see that it will rise above the lower line and when it's cold it should be no lower than the min line.

If it's goes below the min line then you risk getting air into the system ... not good.
