If you do it the easy way which is the best way go do the MSF course and that counts as your driving part, then just go do the written and you have it.

They can impound your bike and give you a big fat ticket, kind of on that note the State of Oregon now requires motorcycles to have insurance even if you do not live there and are just passing through. If you do not they give you a big fat ticket.
How can the state of Oregon require a non resident that is passing through (not even staying in the state) to have insurance. Granted 99% of all drivers have insurance, but how they enforce that type of law on someone. You get stopped for a tail light out, the officer runs your license and tags and BAM you get slapped with a fine for a law you had no knowledge about. You get punished for following the laws of your state by another state. A good lawyer could most likely get that thrown out... I would suspect. But, I don't think you would have the same result if you were applying Florida's gun law

Honestly if it wasnt for a bank like that i wont have ANY bike today.Think about it.How can the average 22 yr old spend 200 + a month on the bike payment and 500 for the insurance.Thats like 700 bucks total between your insurance and payment EVERY month.Im willing to pay as much as 200 for insurance and i have looked everywhere but for a new rider who is 22 and has a busa they want to charge me at least 450+ a month

State of Florida mandates you carry Insurance. Period. State of Florida mandates you posess a motorcycle endorsement on your Drivers licence to operate a motorcycle on public roads. If you are caught without necessary license the fine is $150. The officer may also take posession of the motorcycle and it can become State property. If you are riding withot a helmet you must show proof of the minimum health insurance policy of $10,000. If you are caught speeding 20 MPH over the speed limit your vehicle may be impounded and you may go to jail and possibly lose your license for the period of one year. All of this of course is left up to the officer in the field as to which course of action is taken.
Best advice, Get the endorsement and get Insurance. you think Insurance is expensive, Imagine paying for a Bike the State owns!

When hunting for insurance describe the bike as a Suzuki GSX1300R Sport Touring Motorcycle. It says sport touring right there on the literature. My insurance is $500 a year for my sport touring motorcycle.

$480/yr GMAC insurance.

Actually, the Busa was cheaper than the $550/yr for the 1200 Bandit. Go figure.

But, I've had my M/C endorsement for 20 years now...

UMair, you are a young man. You are risking a lot more than a little fine here. In the event of any accident, don't matter if you caused it or not, you will be held responsible as an unliscensed motorist. Last year, I had a young kid hit me in his car when he made a small judgement error. My insurance company and the cops took him to task and not only was his car stuffed but he will spend the next five years or so paying off mine. Do yourself a favor and get the endorsement and some insurance.

Do the right thing.  Get the endorsement. Take an MSF course (or two

).  Make sure you have insurance.  Continually work on updating your skills.

Ride safe.

Really need to have insurance, full coverage while buying the bike. If it is a total loss in a wreck and it is your fault, you still have to pay for the bike and insurance can really help out there.

<span style='font-size:15pt;line-height:100%'>The only place in the US that has the death penilty for speed is OHIO</span>

"Cannon ball run"

In Ohio stopped and found not to have a valid mc endorsement is basically no license.

1st degree misd (next one up is felony). Suspended license, no license, expired license all the same in ohio. upto 6mo in jail and $1k fine. Automatic 6 points. 12 = suspension.

Run the tag, which automatically runs the owner for license, warrants, weapon permits, and prior dui's etc.

if tag run reveals owner doesnt have endorsement it's automatically a stop, if it's a Trooper it's more often than not jail or bond posting, shyt def gets a hook off the road. Judge gives order in writing if you are to have it back.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWw no ops = da nasty in ohio.

by the way, DUI, and No ops/ expired license all = same penitly.

You are mistaken, Florida does not require insurance on a motorcycle. It is not required for registration as it is with cars, it is highly recommended though. Here is the quote from the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles website.

* Is insurance required for motorcycles in Florida?
Under certain circumstances Yes. Insurance is not required to register motorcycles as with four-wheel motor vehicles. However, if a motorcycle operator is charged in a crash with injuries, then the owner or owner/operator is financially responsible for bodily injuries and property damage to others. If no liability coverage was in effect, then bodily injury/property damage liability insurance must be purchased and kept for three years to avoid license and tag/registration suspension or to reinstate license and tag/registration after suspension.
