Umairhashmi Here in the Grate state of Florida you don’t have to have a motorcycle endorsement to register it or get insurance on you bike. I know it don’t make no since, but they all want to get their money. You can buy a motorcycle and dive it off from the stealership with out and endorsement, the just make a copy of your drivers license and take it for face value that it is valid. Hope this helps if not pm me and I will give you my number and you can call me.

Get only liability and take the risk on paying for a new bike yourself if you go down, but don't screw up someone else's day without liability, it will screw up your day too.

Just get the endorsement! This is not a sport for the cheap. yes it can be done with limited funds but don't skimp on things like insurance and endorsements let alone riding gear!

I can tell you exactly what is gonna happen. Cop is gonna impound the bike, write you a ticket for operating without a license, and then its a mandatory court for you and a judge. Be smart man it aint worth the risk.

Isn't Floriduh the one and only state that doesn't require any insurance for motorcycles as long as you don't have a loan?

Personally I carry $300K liability on all my vehicles and I may upgrade to $1 million as I don't think $300K is enough these days.

Do I understand you financed your scoot w/ no ins?? How did the bank or credit union let that slip by. Guarantee a bank examiner that checks the loans in going to want ins. on the banks assest. Curious as to how you did that. Must have a nice and trusting banker?

I have found that the current crop of Bankers are

, well lets just say Challenged

. They just key numbers into a computer and the it does all the work and says whether or not you get the Loan. The Loan Officer has NO input ! Other than being able to type in the blanks on the computer form ! That's good, because most of the Loan Officers I know, couldn't find the bathroom without help

Get the license, get the insurance, get trained, wear the gear, take responsibility, grow up and do it properly.

Otherwise, you're not a biker, you're a wannabe, and a liability to everyone else on or off the road.

They can impound your bike and give you a big fat ticket, kind of on that note the State of Oregon now requires motorcycles to have insurance even if you do not live there and are just passing through. If you do not they give you a big fat ticket.

I usually dont speed and weave in and out of traffic but i would like to walk away without a ticket if i get pulled over.Whats the best way to deal with the situation
let him get out of the car, and then gun it, heck he won't be able to catch you lol...........
just a joke, people before people get all violent.

As with any situation with a police office I find being curteous is the best way to go.

disclaimer: I reserve the right to call you stupid if you didn't read all of this and flame me for the first portion

Here in N.O. you must have endorsement to get Ins. or inspection sticker. To register it no, they will sell it to anyone. If caught without they could impound bike. Up to cop. I would get the endorsement, become part of the club

If you financed the bike you are gonna hafta buy insurance (can't get insurance without a license) whether you want it or not. The bank will not allow the loan without it. If you don't buy it they'll buy it for you at a much higher rate and send you the bill.

Oh and all that crap about towing etc... most likely. If you can't afford to do it right then you shouldn't do it...

Quick little story...

Me and a group went to Ameriacade... I took my father who was riding on one of my bikes that I gave him.  He did not get it inspected before the trip and when we rolied into town there was a road block with cops inspecting everyone on the road...

(doing a fundraiser... cause they were writing tickets for every little thing)  Well we role up on the road block and my dad gets pulled over... (oh $hit here we go)  To make a long story short he did not have his motorcycle endorsement... they sighted him for  operating out of class... a $15.00 fine and cort fees of $25.00 ... no moving violation... my father was very humble with the officer and respectful... the cop told him to get the endorsement and let him ride off.  Given any other situation and how they are feeling that day... It could have been much worse.  He still does not have the endorsement and rides spring to fall.  Has not had any problems sense... Here is the problem that I see... Insurance companies are looking for any way out to not have to pay for clams.  They could come back on him if he does have an accident and state that becuase he does not have an endorsement they will not pay...  To me it is not worth the risk... Get it and be done with it... I have never had a clame and I think ins is the bigest scam going (all ins.)  Health ins has gotten out of hand... Car... Motorcylce... Life... I have it all and pay thousands a year that could go to my sons collage fund... or that Getto Turbo...
