Do the newer busas 2016-2017 have a more comfortable riding position than the GEN 1?
Or am I looking at having to mod the newer ones to (Helibars and foot pegs) to get a more comfy riding position?
currently on a 2001 hayabusa just bought the helibars and buell mod

If you need to be comfortable hanging out with your friends ~ then perhaps you should purchase a couple of nice recliners . . .

No, the gen1 and 2 have basically the same ergonomics.
Frames are identical, except gen2 has a few extra holes.

I agree with 6pack. Same frame for the most part.

I have the Helibars and a riser plate.
Also have the Buell pegs.
And a Corbin seat.

Only thing IMO that might make it better is the full (LS?) Handlebar setup - like C10 (and others) have. But that's more money.

If I know I'm going to ride more then a couple hundred miles I use my other bike. :D

I don't have any of those things but I (do) have 37" arms which work out nicely. :)

Sixpac good to know gen 1 frame is same as gen two I mak throw all my gen 2 on a gen 1 for a CENTER STAND lol .

I did heli bars 1st not bad , but not what I needed for my iron butt riding style . 700 miles , and was stopped for only 12 minutes total .
I have a Russel day long sport seat on order :) build date is June 28th . I had a FJR1300 for 4 years great bike but never put the smile the busa does . Many refer to the LSL kit , but its really a ABM top clamp with LSL handle bars .
