I still need to get the rivit tool for the master link. Other than that I'm ready to go. I'll check a couple of the shops that are open today. I'll also take some pics.
Funny thing...I thought I would have gotten a few more replies by now. I know there are some high miledge busas on the board.

When we replaced ours, we broke the link, then zippy-tied the new chain to the old one before pulling it through.
Once it's through, un-zippy-tie, and Wah Lah!... no muss, no fuss.
Well, chain is done...My photographer (wife) was not home to take pictures, but here's how I did it.
1- Borrowed chain tool from mechanic at local dealer
2- Loosened rear axle and moved as far forward as possible
3- Found master link and used dremal with a cutoff wheel to grind rivit heads flat. I positioned the link on the low side of travel so for easy access from both sides of the bike.
4- Pryed master link apart with big screw driver. This took a bit of effort.
5- Used a trywrap to connect new chain to end of old chain and pulled chain around the front spocket...Thanks TKM it worked like a charm.
6- Installed master link (working from bottom again). I put the link on from the outside pushing toward the wheel. This is the way the factory had installed the old chain. DON"T FORGET THE O-RINGS.
7- Used chain tool to press everything together. The service manual has a pretty good description on using the tool.
8- Set chain tension and tightened rear axle.
Whole operation took maybe an hour. This was a chain change only...sprockets looked good.
The only thing I've noticed is a bit of a whining noise from the front spocket. I didn't change them, so I guessing it's just a seating of the new chain to the old sprocket.
