just installed new battleax 14 little more sticky and changed to 42 sprocket rea aaaah yeeahh now the question is how tight to adjust chain the manual says .8 to 1.2 now do ipull on the bottom cent of chain and top center of chain and measure should top and bottom of chain have the measured slack

Make sure you're sitting on the bike and move it forward and backwards a little in case there's a loose or tight spot. Oh and make sure the marks are the same on both sides for alignment.

stand bike upright.have a person of good weight 150-200 pounds sit on bike.use a ruler that one end can touch floor, other end against chain runs.measure at a point half way between the sprockets on the lower run of chain.take a measure of where the chain is at rest, then push up with finger,it should only go up about an inch.

I think thats what you wanted.

RSD.
