Rear mudguard trimming decision...

So I'd like to trim the rear mudguard but seeing as how my bike is (relatively) rare and basically stock, I'm debating whether or not to do it.

Not really. I have the original handlebars and that's about it. I'm never going to sell the bike so I guess it doesn't really matter. I just with it wasn't all one piece that you have to trim instead of just unbolting something.

Don't cut it.
A Hotbodies Undertail with integrated tail lights and turn signals would look good.
No permanent modification needed.

Looks like trimming is the way to go. I gotta have the storage space. I keep audio recorders, GoPro battery chargers, etc. In there.

The HotBodies undertail requires removing the stock undertail, so you end up with More room under the seats.

Before I joined your forum I was dead set on keeping the Pumpkin stock but now you guys have me wanting to do ALL the mods. Damn you!

I wonder if I can delete the tail entirely and make it a "bobber" of sorts...with a turbo of course.

The stock fender doesn’t look that bad. The bottom is even with the cans. Trimmed just below the license plate would look ok too.

Before I did the gsxr tail swap I had a hotbodies under tail. It looked pretty decent. Not sure if you can still find those.

You still can, I bought one for a gsxr 2 years ago, and was suprised that they were still around then, lol.

But if you are looking for mods…….. I think I still have a rear Galfer rear wave rotor and some week old braided front brake lines laying around. And a boost by smith flash interface but you will need to order the harness for that.

You can mount a small set of stalk mount led turn signals to the license plate bolts...or buy the HotBodies undertail with the turn signals built in, lol

Don't cut the original. Buy a used spare off eBay and cut that.

Still love undertails though. I had the Hot Bodies undertail on mine. Worked fine. Looked good.
