My 3 mos old gen 3 needs a new right side exhaust so I am thinking of a 4 into 1 to save weight and sound better. I hate the sound of the stock pipes anyway. The weight savings is enough of a performance gain for me as well as easier access to the back of the bike.

Was looking at Brocks but he is drag race oriented - Top End and I am a streetr', so Low-Mid works better for me. So I am guessing a long pipe vs shorty for the street. Are there any cheaper full systems brands that look and sound good with two O2 sensors? Another reason I was looking at the Brocks gen 3 systems.

I have searched the site but can't find the answers I am looking for.

Asking advice regarding which exhaust to get is like asking about oil, air filters, tires, chains. sprockets, seats, windshields, grips and the list goes on and on.....

Brocks makes several styles of exhaust and many people here have had very good luck with them....

I'm a Yosh guy and always have been right back to my '85 GSXR...I've Yosh on all my Suzukis except one where I had a Hindle Ti system on it.....

I still say Brock's Alien Head II is the best looking and sounding exhaust for the Gen III. To do it right you're still going to need to have the ECU flashed accordingly with the new exhaust, or get a Power Commander. You certainly don't want to just bolt on the new exhaust and go without remapping the fuel-to-air ratio. So if you're aiming for low to mid range power, then just have the throttle curve and ratio mapped for it after you get the new exhaust installed. As for me, my ECU was flashed accordingly by Moor Mafia. Goes plenty fast enough for me, even in the low to mid RPM range.

I agree and would strongly advise against a fuel management system and go towards an ECU flash instead.....

My fuel management system left me on the side of the road.......never again......

There are so many good exhausts for these bikes so it’s hard to recommend one over the other.
I have a full M4 exhaust in my 2022 but it’s loud. Ear plugs are required when I ride.
And yes, if you add an exhaust you’ll need to flash the ECU.
I had mine done be Moore Mafia and I’m happy.
Also consider adding a Sprint air filter how best results.

Adding a pipe, a filter and a tune is the basic setup for sure. All 3 need to be done at the same time.

I had good luck with the old Power Commander 3 on my 1998 VFR and 2002 Blackbird. But these days with dual butterfly ride by wire systems an ECU flash is absolutely the way to go. I recommend 2 Wheel Dyno Works for the flash.

.........and I had good luck with my Bazzaz right up to the point that I didn't and I was left on the side of the road.....one more thing to fail unfortunately.....

The only thing I'd like to add here is that the gen 3 runs fine on such systems as M4 and Akro without a tune. A tune will definitely improve such things as the AFR, power etc, but it's safe as houses to keep the gen 3 OEM tune on a quality full system. If you start messing with the induction, then you will definitely need a tune. Once I put some mileage on my Akro I'll decide down the track if I'll get a bespoke tune or not.
