Gen 1....hope you can get the retaining pins out...otherwise yes its easy.
Gen 2....fiddly but OK

Haven't replaced the Gen II rear yet, but about too. Gen I easy, but you need to make sure it goes back together the way it came apart. So go slow on disassembly. The two springs from memory that look like two Z clips have to go back right. Everything else was simple.
