Rear Brake Question

V-Max 2 Busa

Registered
Replacing the factory rear fender required I remove the reservoir hose between the master cylinder and the reservoir thus removing the brake fluid to that level, refilled the reservoir after reassembly, brake stops the wheel fine when the bike is on the stand but dosen't feel very strong while riding. Would droping the fluid level to that point allow air into the line? Do I need to bleed the line?

The Busa rear brake isn't that strong to start with, Do you notice a difference from what it was before the mod ? If so, yes you probably need to do some bleeding.

One of the pistons might be stuck...there is a bleeder screw on BOTH sides of your Gen1.

Try bleeding the system and check to see that both pistons move the pads in the caliper.

Thanks guys I'll try bleeding the lines and see how it feels, I've always got a new set of EBC HH pads in the wrecked busa I could swap out but with the new one only having 2K miles I figured the original pads still had many miles left on them.
