re-geared and running at high rpms

i re-geared to -1+3. at freeway speeds i am running at 4500-5000. should i be concerned about the high rpms?

Nope, that's the trade off when you change the ratio like that.

I'm running the same ratios. Will not be a problem. Personally I love this as I use more of the bikes power more often due to running higher RPMS. Makes the bike feel like a new monster!

just curious. my speedo is now way off, probly at least 10mph too fast. you too?

It was but I added a speedo healer. If you don't know what that is just search on it there are a ton of posts on it. Costs about $50-$100 and sponsers have them. Pretty easy to install you just have to take the left lower fairing off and plug into the speed sensor harness.

I only did that because of wanting to keep the odo mileage accurate. I use GPS for speed as it is much more accurate.
