exactly! I have seen this happen to the manhole covers at work. Just not to that extreme.

if that manhole is in a lower area the others will back feed into that one and cause it to ruption water take the path with least resistance

sort of appears to be in a low underpass or something...

I have seen a lot of flash floods in AZ but never seen something like this... just imagine that manhole cover landing on your roof...

That car goes in and never comes out...suppose he had a rather abrupt stop huh?

Yup, flash flood. Too much water at once.

Water always follows the path of least resistance. It just happened to be the storm drain. The cover was the weakest link there.

Did anyone notice the unfortunate truck that slammed into the cover.
