Radar Detector installs.

great information here...

I have a mid-June sport tour of WV and have considered the H.A.R.D. system, but it is alot of money, no?

I have an Escort S2 cordless and fahioned a reflector for it (like cobra or BEL used to offer) so it can be carried vertically in the jacket breast pocket, use small corded earphone. I know this isn't the best set up, but bikes have a relatively small cross section and radar needs to be much closer to pick up a bike than a car, so it is much better than no radar detection at all.

The ultimate set up would be an antenna hidden in the headlight and taillight nacelles, used with the H.A.R.D. set up. I don't like the attention a screamer attracts, so for me that isn't an option.

Question for you guys running the H.A.R.D. set up: what was the lead time when you ordered it? Did you get it fairly quickly?

Yep...fast delivery! Be sure and carry and extra set of batteries with you!
Oh and be sure and re-adjust the led display when it gets dark outside or you'll get blinded when it goes off.. Promise
