Mike, I wanted to add that recovering from a brain injury can take years, so if today doesn't bring another big milestone, do not be disheartened.

I've kept up with research on brain trauma, if you have some general questions I can answer or help find answers. In the last 14 years medical understanding of the brain has advanced light years, but so much in the brain happens below the cellular level which is way smaller than the resolution of current imaging technologies such as MRI and CT scans. Healing may not always be obvious, just know that it is happening.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Today he was a little more awake and reconized my older brother and said his name but he has not acknowledged his son or anyone else. I am just taking things day by day right now. I am trying to get a little time to go and see him a.s.a.p.. I'm just kind of stuck here with work and prior commitments.

What's up everyone... I just want to give you all a quick update. My brother's condition is improving each day. I actually got to speak to him today (which was great). Although he still seems to be a little distorted still he seemed to know who I was.

I again want to Thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the prayers and support. I just hope the Illinois State Police find the driver responsable or someone turns him in. Thank's again everyone.........
