Powder coating rear pegs

I am powder coating my rear peg mounts black, as well as my rear pegs. Is there a way to remove the rubber from the rear pegs, and then re apply after powder, or should I just go aftermarket and not worry about the stocks?

Me thinks the rubber is glued on! Might try to heat the back side with a heat gun to melt the glue?

They can be pressed out, but its tough. They will sustain the process though.

I looked at that option and just opted for some aftermarket black pegs instead. Comp werkes - about $50.
