good observationWhat's the difference between air shifters and the "Quick Shift Kit" from Powercommander?
Is it just that the QS kit is a sensor connected to your shift lever that kills the ignition or something for a split second while you shift with your foot, while the air shifters use a small cylinder to do the shifting with a button? Is that it or is there something else?
Any body have experience with the Powercommander shifter? Seems kinda neat if you've got a PCIIIUSB.

But the shifts would still be real quick since you didn't have to use the clutch right? I mean it'd be as fast as you could pull it?that does not shift for you. you still have to do the shifting..good observationWhat's the difference between air shifters and the "Quick Shift Kit" from Powercommander?

you don't need to clutch to upshift on a stock bike.... just blip the throttle and into the next gear it goes. But the shifts would still be real quick since you didn't have to use the clutch right? Right. But that's what the Quick Shifter does too, I think, I guess that's why I was asking. If I read the materail right, it senses the movement on the shifter and kills the timing or something for a split second then get's right back on it. It seems like it does the same thing as an air shifter except it is less complicated, and, yes, you have to 'look' for the shifter, and the time it takes to 'find' it and 'move' it is 'longer' than the time it takes to hit a button, but for the price, it seems worth it.air shifter will always be quicker. it cuts the motor and shift and is back at full throttle in 10ths of a second. you can't foot shift that fast even if you are phenominal at it.
