I live right next to my parents and I check on them every day. I went up after work to see how they were doing yesterday and this is where I found my 84 yr old dad..
Enjoy every minute of that Doug, truly awesome. My dad retired after 43 years as an engineer, and his idea of retirement was a shop twice as big as the house and working on street rods.

20 years ago we chose to build a house next to them so we would be close when they needed us when they got older and so our kids could really know their grandparents. I have ZERO regrets about building here. I talk to my dad every single day and we work on projects together pretty much every day. I do cherish every second with him.
