Operating cost per mile.

Here something I never seen discussed before on here, Operating cost per mile.
How much does it cost to own a Hayabusa when you add in the maintanence?
This would be a good thread for those that are thinking about owning a Hayabusa.
IMO these bikes require to stay in tip top shape and corners not to be taken when owning
these bikes. Even if your the type that doesnt push there machines to the extremes. Maintanence
is safety.
So the other night I wanted to know how much it cost me per mile to have all this fun.
I do my own work so the operating cost will be more if your not familiar with motorcycle
mechanics. These numbers are all average.

1) Oil changes Honda HP4 Synthetic, and Suzuki OEM filter $55.00 / 2000 miles = $.0275
2) F&R Tires, mount and balnce Michelin 2CT. $357.00 5000 miles = $.0714
3) Chain lube Dupont Chain wax. 8.00 can 3 cleanings 1800 miles = $.004
4) Fuel Premium. $4.00 gal / 35 MPG= $.114
5) Spark Plugs NGK Laser Cut Iridiums. $35.00 11000 miles= $.003
6) EK ZZZ Chain= $200 / 15000 miles= $.0133
7) Pledge Cleaner= $3.00 / 600 miles= $.005

Total operating cost per mile= .238

If I ride my Hayabusa to work 5 days a week at 72 miles round trip it cost me = $85.68

Believe it or not my sprockets arent worn out yet and neither were my brake pads when I replaced them around 20K..

Cleaning and lubricating the chain every 600 miles really helps with chain wear.

Yet just saying your average rider changes chain and sprockets together and I myself would probably change pads at 15-20,000 depending on how they look
