On/off swtich for 186mph speed limiter?

Anyone ever heard of this?  when I picked up my bike, it had this switch on it and the previous owner claimed it would remove the governor.  This and a full exhaust were the only mods on the bike when I picked it up. I haven't and probably won't test if it works, but do they actually make one? I tried to search with no luck.  It's a 5-wire or so switch and wired into the ECU harness.  Any ideas if that's the truth or what else it could be for?? THANKS!!

I thought the TRE was something completely different from what I read on it and didn't know it was switchable. I did try to search but nothing came up. Now I know it's TRE, I can find alot more stuff out! THANKS!!
