Putting a 07 motor into a 2000

Friend of mine was an idiot and ran his bike low on oil causing the number 2 rod to put a softball sized hole in his block. So now Im being nice and fixing his bike.
Its a 2000 and we picked up a 07 completely with wiring harness and ecu. Now I know the easiest thing would be to just swap rotors and reuse the 2000 ecu but if I wanted to use the 07 what all will I need to do?
Other then the rotors whats different?
External fuel pump, will it wire up the same or will I need to rewire it?
Will the 2000 Dash cluster work with a 07 harness/ecu?
Pickup polarity? I know they swapped it on the newer bikes, what would I need to do to fix that?

use everything from 07 and your good to go.

If I had a 07 tank and dash I would lol but how do I get the 2000 pump and dash to work or will they not.

The dash will work, but you need to get a speedo healer

The pump and fuel guage will work also, but you will need to wire them up!

Ok so ended up just getting the motor so I'm ready to swap over the rotor. Only thing now is I've read a few places that the crank pickup is reversed on the newer motor. If That's true what do I need to do for the 07 to work with the 00 harness? Is that it just the pickup and the rotor?
