Old bikes you have owned thread

A guy owed my neighbor money for something and gave him the Z1. I saw it behind his garage and inquired. Being in college I had no cash. He let me work off the $300. A guy at a service station said: “You’ve got a real legend there.” I sort of knew. I rode it for a year and sold it to a buddy shortly before graduation.

That is the motorcycle where my motorcycle love started. i was a young lad and there was a guy around here who used to do wheelies with it, he was my hero. Owning one in mint condition right now is almost impossible unless you have to dig deep into your pockets.

I have had many, bikes. My first was a 1980 Suzuki GS750E. My latest is a 2020 BMW S1000RR which I just sold to a friend.
1980 Suzuki GS750
1984 Honda 1000 Interceptor
1985 Yamaha FJ1100
1990 Yamaha FZR 1000
1993 Yamaha FZR 1000
2001 Suzuki GSXR 1000
2003 Hayabusa
2006 Kawasaki ZX10R
got out of bikes for a few years but bought another

got out of bikes again for a few years but bought a
2020 BMW S1000RR
1985 Kawasaki ZX600R Ninja
2005 Hayabusa.
Currently still have the 05 Busa with 1300 miles and the ZX600R with 15K miles.
If I could go back and own any of these bikes again it would be the 2001 GSX-R 1000. I find myself looking for them online in the white/blue fairly often.

This is my 1990 FZR 1000 I bought as a project. I converted the tail section to a 01-02 Gixxer and did the custom Kenny Robert paint. I did everything myself. The painted rear sets, calipers, frame, triple tree, and wheels are powder coated.
This bike got crazy attention.

VERY nice job on that FZR...it looks great, do you still have it?

I had an '87 FZR1000 in white, red and blue....it was a very good bike but I got rid of it as it wasn't a Suzuki.
